Great idea Jim, as well as those on Myspace too...post a bulletin with the photo link. This really bites !!!! Let's try and find that guitar for Joe! LG
Hey Everybody,
...It was lost in shipping from Denmark on the last tour. It is very identifiable and if anybody sees it online, for sale or somebody other than me playing it. Please let us know. The thing that separates that guitar from the rest is the Tele headstock. All the other ones have the new headstock.. We have been working through back channels to try to locate it but no luck.. Its the shipping companies fault but Im still very concerned..
Thanks Joe Bonamassa
Hope your friend finds his/her way back home. Talk about pain & sorrow. Good luck Joe!
Damn...I preferred the Tele headstocks too. I know Patrick wanted to get away from them, but they sure looked bad a**
Joe, I hope your special guitar shows up soon. A friend just told me a missing luggage story...6 months after their trip it turned up on their doorstep! Keep the faith and St. Anthony's known to be a good listener when it comes to lost things.
Joe, sure hope it turns up somewhere, somehow and soon. Probably it is like losing an old friend. I will keep my eyes open on EBAY just in case.
Joe,
I'm really sorry to hear about your loss- I can't imagine how frustrating and sad this must be for you... just remember, you have all your fans keeping an eye out for it and I'm sure it will turn up somewhere...
quick question- did the case have Bonamassa written on it? If it did that probably would have made it more of a target to someone looking to make a quick buck or own a piece of history...
Good luck,
Scott
Sorry to hear about this Joe. I was at the Grand Rapids show a couple weeks ago and wondered why you only played a Gig on one song.
I posted the link to this and the info and pic on Jam Session, which has a large european population so it should help get the word out.
Good luck!

Joe,
Sorry to hear about the Gigliotti. I think posting here and having everyone on this site look out for it was a good idea. I think a lot of your fans feel your loss too, maybe not at the same level though.
Keep the faith, hopefully it will turn up. In the meantime, we'll keep our eyes and ears open.
Bill S.
yep, what Bill said. Sorry its under these circumstances but glad that you know where to come for help. Never forget who loves ya! On the job, got a chance to stretch out and fan the new feathers and test the wild eagle eyes.
Hallo Joe,
I'll cross my fingers for the return of your guitarfriend!!
When it returnes give me the name of the person who got it back for you and I'll send him/her a topbottle of wine. I 'm a winelover you know and have some!!
All forummembers do your best for Joe, keep your eyes open wide!
Andre Wittebroek.
Any news?
i think all fan`s will serch the internet with eagel eyes to help you....me too
i every day take a look at e-bay ...hope find it
good luck
Joe (or anyone else),
Is there a pic of what it looks like somewhere?
Imagine the Gigliotti tele with a telecaster shaped headstock, as oppossed to the new shape. It looks like a dark wine-red stain on the headstock with Gigliotti's signaure logo in gold. The new ones have a metal veneer headstock like the body I believe.
Since there's no news that things have changed, I thought I'd bring this back to page 1....
...I spread this on some other boards right now, too...
Keep fingers crossed...
What a loss... :-(
PIT...
I can't imagine how that must be for Joe to loose something like that.
I've had damage caused to the 3 guitars I gig with before in transit and also because of the carelessness of other people and their inconsiderate ways.
Par example there's now a dent in my Fender acoustic where somebody was throwing a piece of plastic around onstage at a rehearsal and I'd just laid back with the guitar and that got hit (as did I) and my Les Pauls and Strats have sustained damage in various ways from others, not yet has anybody actually stolen them. I think it's much worse if a guitar gets stolen, than just damaged.
I'm really hopeful for Joe getting back that guitar. Joe's a legend and it really is hard losing the instruments you know and love because they become a part of you and a replacement is never quite the same.
Hopes & prayers for the safe return of the Gigliotti!
Luke
Attention Europe!! If you want to have "The Wizard" bless you, Find his "Magic Wand"!! It was last seen in your neck of the world!!! the mystery continues.....
