Every Jubilee and Marshall have a multi voltage selector on the back.. They are the best as far as the world traveler is concerned.

Just get a Ceriatone 2550 (50W) or 2555 (100W). All the tone you want, it's brand-new (no issues), and very affordable.

Oh true enough mate, but I've seen them on Ebay go for like 5-600 for something approaching ok, plus they're made in Britain so there must be some knocking about in peoples bedrooms, 3K is a boatload of money for an amp, my Matchless would go for less than that and like you say thats been imported to this ountry, plus its a completely hand wired thing. Trouble is I think the secrets out on these amps being really rather good and they've joined the Marshall list of elite amps, hence the profiteering by the likes of this store.
Guess I'll just keep my eyes peeled!
Ok I have a question for all of you....
A local music store here has a Marshall 2554 Jubilee in Black for $1,200 and a 2 year old Mesa Lone-star Special for $1,250 (still with warranty) available. You can see what I am using now in my signature and I am playing mostly classic rock and blues based rock and straight blues. I am not a huge fan of high gain amps but I am open to try new things.
Which of the two would you suggest I get?
I am playing in small bars and clubs...usually no more than a couple of hundred people size places. and my VOX ac15 is enough (barely) to cut through the mix.
They both sound great....and no I can't get both...LOL

Ultimately only you can make this choice ,as one as to tick all the boxes for you.
IMO I love Jubilees but Kind of a one trick pony ,not so versatile on there own , but paired
as JB discovered , awesome. cant speak for the lonestar as have not tried one 
I have a Jubilee and love it but if you need to use Both Channels a Clean and OD your better off with the Loan Star. Its very hard to use both channels on the Jubilee effectively it can be done but your going to wish they didn't share the EQ. Its the one thing I don't like about the amp.

there is a easy way round this IMO by using a graphic equailiser pedal when you switch to the clean channel switch on the graphic eq pedal and use the pedal to shape your clean sound , and volume . this def makes the clean channel usable then switch to lead channel simply switch of graphic pedal and viola . I do it and it works , only downside is some tap dancing

Would you post your setting of your EQ? I have one I have played around with that before a bit but maybe not enough. I haven't tried the Jubilee in the new project I am working on there are a lot of clean then OD parts, but would love to be able to use both channels on the jubilee.

I use a boss Ge7 but there are better G/Eq pedals around . basically on a Jubilee using Joes settings when the CLEAN channel is selected the mids are very prominent and the sound is ice picky so I switch on the G/eq and dial out the mids . so it ends up in a V shape also using the volume on the G/eq you can trim back the level to balance the volume for clean channel it works for me ok

The only ex I'm actually happy to see.
Better that it be used than to sit in storage. And, of course I'm ecstatic as to who ended up with it.
