Holy **** !!!!!!!
What an experience!!!!!!! I had high expectations for what was to be, but it was way, way, way beyond what I had thought. What a rocker!!!!!!! I had a front row seat in front of my all time favorite guitarist, vocalist, and all around good guy Joe!!!!!
Setlist (I know it's accurate, because I have Joe's setlist)
Black Country
One Last Soul
Crossfire
Save Me
Hadrian's Wall
Beggarman
Faithless
Son of Yesterday
The Outsider
Cold
John Henry
Great Divide
Sista Jane
ENCORE
Man in the Middle
Burn
The absolute highlight for me was The Ballad of John Henry ala BCC Style. If I could have stopped time and just relished the moments it would have been during this. Joe Bonamassa OWNS this song, lock, stock, & barrel. It was truly OVER THE MOON for me. I stood during the whole song from start to finish....no sitting down....(I think I may have been the only person standing in the entire venue.....lol.....but no one told me to sit down...so I didn't....lol...lol...) It was definitely a force to be reckoned with and it was met by thunderous applause!!!!!
Song Of Yesterday was 2nd favorite.....stunningly beautiful
Crossfire was 3rd favorite.....would loved to have seen the whole place up dancing to this one......funk-a-delic...........
Hadrian's Wall and all the rest fall into place.
Enjoyed it all immensely.
Before the meet & greet in the afternoon we had a Joe sighting and a delightful encounter with Jason Bonham who had just arrived from the airport. Was so kind and full of laughter & spunk.......Meet & Greet was great, a little more fast-paced than a Joe Meet & Greet, but enjoyable none-the-less. Group photo from radio station had Jason laying on the floor in front of Rhonda & I......what a hoot! Many thanks to Joe, Jason, Gleen and Derek for autographs, pics, and chit-chat......was oh so fun!
Aftershow by busses........patience is a virtue.......more pics, autographs and of course when it came to having a pic with Joe my camera decided to be stupid........so after two attempts, Joe says to guy, "Gimme that camera, I'll take it myself!" So he tried, but still no flash, but it was sure fun standing there with Joe thru all of it.....3 photos remind me of when you go in one of those photobooths....lol...lol....maybe next time Joe the dang flash will work.
Anyway, it was so much fun and of course Rhonda and her family were terrific hosts and so much fun to be with ♥
Here's pics, such as they are....
