Looking forward to Dana at Tremblant Blues this year!!!!
This from Dana's FB page -
Goodbye my precious brother, Don. He fell into a deep sleep yesterday just after I gave him a massage. His last words to me were: "I'm just going to rest for a while now". I held his hand and told him to let go when he was ready. He slept straight through today peacefully, and took his last breath at 1:05pm. I am so grateful to have had these past few days with him. I am so devastated to lose him. This pic is from his birthday in December where we flew to see the rest of our family. Thank you all for the amazing support. The July 7th show proceeds will now go to his burial and travel for family. With love, gratitude and more tears than I ever knew I had, Dana
As a result, she has had to cancel Jim's OKC show.
Had the pleasure of interviewing Dana after her smoking show last night here at Tremblant Blues. Wow she is over 6' tall in flats, stunning performer...
You probably searched for this topic Mike, but couldn't find it because....
...THE SEARCH FUNCTION DOES NOT WORK!!!!!
Yes, Dana is tall, and stunning in numerous ways!! Please share your interview once it's ready.
Will do. plus Tinsley Ellis, David Gogo, Oli Brown and others as well!!!!
George, I'm listening to Dana's "Love to Beg" right now, one of the albums you recommended to me when we met a while back (along with Little Feat, etc.). I love the song "Golden Eyes" particularly! Some good guitar work in there too.
Edit: damn bot
Big props to one of my most favorite ladies, the gloriously wonderful Dana Fuchs, for her cd 'Love to beg' at #15 on the Bluesrock top 20 list!!
Dana, you rock!

+1! Just got into her music very recently, she's a class act. Very much looking forward to seeing her in Aberdeen with Oli Brown.

Not only a class act, but also a very sweet lady. She and John will be doing an acoustic set when she opens for Oli. If you're smart Murray, you'll make sure to be right up against the stage - because that almost certainly ensures that you'll get a (sweaty) hug!

LOL, I'll make sure I'm there very early to get a good spot!!
Pity it's an acoustic set, I'd love to see her full on electric. She'll still be amazing though, I'm sure.
Today is the lovely Dana's birthday!
Happy Birthday Gorgeous
She is not doing the Scottish Oli Brown shows. Looks like its Daryl Kellie, whoever he is.

Gee, I wish I would have known you were going to see her, but thanks for submitting greets and relaying the love! Did you get hugged?
I must check her schedule.
A). She's got that Janus thing going on big time....really great pipes.
B). She's saaaaamokin hot ;-)
C). I love it when she introduces him and says, "the best NEW guitarist on the scene." The best new guitarist that's been around for 20+ years. I got a little kick out of that.
Thanks for posting the vid's ...really great stuff.

Everybody who was standing in line to get something signed was hugged from lovely Dana.
Smiling faces all around
Probably you understand German, George, here's an enthusiastic review of Dana's sold out concert at the Blues Garage:

It wasn't that different at the Piano in Dortmund.
Here's one for George. Dana and John opening for Oli Brown in Birmingham last night. "Bible Baby".

Hugs delivered as requested George (I didn't want to wash this morning, but then I figured that shade of lippy probably didn't suit me anyways )
Dana is only getting a 30 minute support slot on this tour which is a shame (and Oli is a brave young fella taking the stage after Dana's done her stuff!), but the good news for UK fans is that she is bringing her band over for 2 dates in June. Blues on the Farm festival on 23rd June, and a headline show at the Borderline in London on the 24th. Tickets on sale now - go get 'em folks. Looks like another trip to London this summer for us.
