The shows in Scotland are effectively double headers with Henrik and the Gerry Jablonski Band, which will be one of the best tours of the autumn. Peter from Gerry's band is arranging the Aberdeen show, if you know him he should be able to tell you in which venue it will take place.

Golden Earring?Haven't heard that band mentioned in a long time.Didn't know they still existed.I guess they have been flying under the.   Er. radar

Re: Henrik Freischlader UK Tour

Yes Gary they still exist and perform a lot in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Same bandmembers and same music as ever. Not my cup of tea at all but Rader Love was a great great song. The intro is a classic!

Back to Henrik Freischlader: he just won the German Blues Award for Album Of The Year with Still Frame Replay!

I want to remind you about  his first UK tour this September:
15-9 London                    -Beaverwood Club
16-9 London                    -Boom Boom Club
17-9 Buxton                     -Blues Festival Opera House
18-9 Leamington Spa        -Blues Festival The Assembly
19-9 Grimsby                   - Yardbirds Club
21-9 Glasgow                   -The Ferry  (with Gerry Jablonski Band)
22-9 Falkirk                      - Behind The Wall (with Gerry Jablonski Band)
23-9 Aberdeen                 -Blue Lamp (with Gerry Jablonski Band)
24-9 Dundee                    -Dexters
25-9 Edinburgh                - The Voodoo Rooms (with Gerry Jablonski Band)
26-9 Derby                      -The Flowerpot
27-9 Scarbourough           -Blues Club
29-9 Manchester               -Academy 3

I hope many are going because he is very good and original. Joe played the Boom Boom Club in 2004 at his first London show  and there were about 60 people...........  6 years later Joe played the RAH and has become the best guitarplayer on the planet and forced a revival for the blues. No discussion about that! So my UK friends, go see Henrik, sold out venues please so we don't have to say in 6 years; I wasn't there.

Re: Henrik Freischlader UK Tour

Yes I agree Andre, this is a one time chance to see Henrik in an intimate venue. Henrik is putting a lof of his onw money into this tour to get established in the UK. Hopefully he will succeed, but the likelihood is that will not play at some of these venues again. So make sure you see him on this tour!

Duncan - I will be forcing my mates to go to the Glasgow or Aberdeen shows.

Duncan - I got my Glasgow ticket yesterday but have seen absolutely no promotion for the Aberdeen gig. Worrying!!

Re: Henrik Freischlader UK Tour

Please, all Henrik fans get your tickets for these shows in advance as soon as you can. Disappointing news in, the Leamington Spa Blues Festival which included Henrik, the Pretty Things, Aynsley Lister, Chantel McGregor and the Nimmo Brothers has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Some of Henrik's own shows are also at risk, so please get your tickets and spread the word to people outwith the forum, friends and via social network sites etc. Henrik has put a huge amount of his own money into this tour, so please reward him by having well attended shows throughout the country. Other local shows may also be at risk, so please do what you can to support live music!
