Not exactly.  I had to replace him before we even do the gig.  Called me up whining that he didn't like the set list and demanding that I change it because he didn't want to work that hard...

So last night I found out that one of my original choices was available, so I sent whiney boy a love note letting him off the hook.  smile

I'm starting to get a little con-fused with all these geetar players....last I recall, one called you up and you learned lots of tunes in no time, so I guess this is a different guy?

My boy and I are off to watch Indy 500 practice this morning, my first such occasion.  cool I understand that I need to watch my mouth around Nascar types?  big_smile

Yes different guy; both named Donnie.  First guy is a pop/rock guy and a sweetheart.  He's the one I learned 20 songs in 3 hours for.  He hired me.

Second guy I hired for my gig.  spozed to be a blues/country type guy.  Just got off the phone with him and there's no hard feelings.  He didn't really want to do that gig, anyway.  roll

Yeah but I come down 95 to Daytona then across I-4 to my dad's in Tampa. I have a stop in Charleston to see my son and grandson too. We'll hook up. No problem.

So I did the show yesterday, with no rehearsal, having never played with this guitar player before and I didn't know what to expect other than a train wreck.  I filmed the entire show.  Y'all wanna see some cuts?
