Topic: ok, dumb question

Hey guys,

I'm trying to build up my skills a little bit.  I am trying to figure out how to play some things in different keys.  I like the two-note stuff that Joe does on Slow Gin.  Its right there in the begining..Its after the G chord he hits the D string on the 3rd and the B string on the 3rd at the same time and slides that up to the 5th fret.  I know that there's a name for that and I can't figure it out.  I want to learn how to put licks like that in my playing and I am not sure where to look to help me. I know that blues players use that kind of stuff all the time.  If anyone could help that would be great!!

I wasn't sure if it was double stops or not.  I have no background in any type of musical theory.  Just a guy who picked up a guitar, learned the chords, learn a few basic scales and moved on from there.  Thanks for the help guys!!  I will check out some of those lessons.  Just want to be able to pick up and play with anyone at any given situation.

Another couple to listen to for double stops are Brad Paisley and Brent Mason.  You won't be sorry with either of them.
