Part 1 Gibson interview with Joe about the new studio LP:

Interesting neck size, seems small compared to the JBLP custom shop:

A full, rounded neck profile that measures .838" at the 1st fret and .983" at the 12th offers a meaty grab in the hand, while enhancing overall resonance

Re: JBLP Studio release interview

Hope it's as beefy as the Bonabursts.

Re: JBLP Studio release interview

Well, Gibson and Joe have done it again. It looks like a very worthwile guitar too.

At a very reasonable price.

Re: JBLP Studio release interview

Finally! I was beginning to wonder if Gibson would ever publicise it!

Looks great though, thought I might not be like a darkback with no binding, but it works.

Just wish we had a confirmed UK delivery date!

The Bonaburst is definitely beefy, I can't wait to get my hands on the new studio.  Never really been interested in a studio before, but I'm planning on getting one of Joe's.

Of course I never had any type of Les Paul before getting the Bonaburst.

I guess I'm sensing a trend here.

Outstanding Jim, thanks for posting this. If Gibson has announced... hopefully they hit dealers shortly, the suspense is killing me.

Oh, don't worry. It's a disease that there's no cure for. It's not fatal but it will empty your bank account!  yikes
