I restrung it that way once I got it home. Used the vinyl pickup protector to cover the stopbar to keep it from getting damaged. But even if it does a new stopbar wouldn't be much. Looking forward to plugging it in when I get my new amp this weekend. The paint around the neck joint is a little sloppy but I guess what can you expect. It plays great and it's a killer bargain at $700.

AGREED! Yeah I thought the binding on mine was sloppy around the body, but the fret works is amazing what they've done. If Epiphone would do this to all their guitar people would buy a lot more of these cheaper guitars.

Take the vinyl off of the tailpiece. You're not going to hurt it. The strings need to contact with it to help transfer vibrations down to your top.
