Topic: San Luis Obispo Show with pics

First of all, I want to thank Joe again for helping us get my friend's 19 year old son, Travis, into this show.  As it turned out, we didn't have to be escorted in.  My boyfriend  explained the situation to the guy at the door collecting tickets, letting him know that it was Joe's intention that Travis see the show.  We brought a copy of the post along to back up our argument.  So, he eventually let us in.

When we got into the club the opening band was playing.  Ken and I headed up to the front so we're standing right in front of where Joe will be playing.   The lead singer and guitar player adored Joe.  He said he felt very privileged to be standing on Joe's persian rugs.  The opening band is very good.  Nice 3 piece blues band.

Promply at 9:00 Rick, Carmine, Bogie and finally Joe took the stage.  The set list hasn't changed.  I absolutely love all of these songs.  I really love all the new ones.

Bridge To Better Days
Walk In My Shadow
Blues Deluxe
Mountain Time
Burning Hell
Another Kind of Love (new)
Sloe Gin (new)
Highwater Everywhere
If Heartaches Were Nickels
Woke Up Dreaming
Django
Just Got Paid
Asking Around for You
One of These Days(new)

For those of you that have already heard this show, I don't have to tell you how spectacular it is to hear it played live.  This show was exceptional for me  because Joe performed no more than 10 feet away from where I was standing.  I had the privilege of talking to him a few minutes after the show.  He asked me how it went getting Travis in.  We talked for a few minutes.  Ken took a picture of me with Joe.  I talked to Bogie for a little while.  It was his birthday, so I had to wish him a Happy Birthday.  I didn't get a chance to meet Rick or Carmine, but hopefully, next time.

Ken took a bunch of pictures.  After you click on the link, click on "slideshow" to view them.  I especially love the last one.  You'll see why.

Enjoy. smile

Glad to hear that you able to get Travis into the show.  Nice pictures as well.

Thanks for posting the setlist, how long was the show with the encore?  It looks like a longer show now.

Music is good for the Soul...

Hi David,

The setlist is longer.  I think I remember Joe posting that he was adding a few more songs for this tour.  but, I don't know what time the show ended so I can't be sure how long he played.  hmm
