Re: Buying a Jubilee
Truth be told, when I was looking for a Jubilee, Spider gave me some insight from his experience. This is is just good karma!

Good luck Spider:-) So cool that our guitar hero might try it out!
THE SILVER JUBILEE IS MINE!
What I find much cooler, is the fact that I've bought a mint Silver Jub from 1987 today! JUHU & JIPPI! What a riff-monster! I've never tried one until tonight, and Joe - I know REALLY understand your love for this amp. It's something else and I'm deeply in love with this amp! It's so responsive to the guitar volume. It had the Drake trafo and with a matching cab (4x12) - I'm one lucky man! I think I will run the Jubilee for crunch/lead and my darling Reeves for clean. The cleans on that baby is just the best....
May I kindly ask you all to include my neighbours in your prayers? LOL
Keep rocking!

There are two black '88 Jubilee heads for sale on Craigslist, both in California.

Thank you Spider,
I look forward to using the Black 88 in the next two weeks.. Its gonna sound and look killer with my BCC set up. I have been honestly been so blindsided by the existence of these things.. But again... Thank you Spider for being so cool and hooking me up.. The amp will now be known as "Black 88"..

Please try it out, play it hard as I know you will. Then have your tech go through it thoroughly. I hope it brings a little inspiration. I'm also very glad I could be of help.
Safe Travels Please.

I'll be sure to get a picture for you at the first BCC gig Spider. A nice close up from front row center with Joe jamming in the foreground, hopefully playing that vintage Lester.
Very cool of you!

Yes please. That would be really nice!
Thats pretty cool! Anyone want to make a deal with me on a Jubilee?
This thread is doomed to be moved to the Marketplace section.
Yes, this thread developed quite differently than intended when I started it! But hey! What an excellent outcome! I got some advice for Jubilee, I got the amp (so Joe, now you know where 10 of these babies are. If you ever need one next time you're in Norway, let me know! You can borrow it for free), and Spider may sell one of his amp's to Joe.
I love coincidences!
Keep rocking and wish you all a wonderful weekend!

PS! The Jub really kicks A%&. I'm totally in love with it. Life's great
God damn, I just love reading this thread, this is how legendary stories are born!
Anyone hears of an ok Jub or one of these infamous black ones going in the UK (If they exist in 240v form, no expert here!) then be so kind as to not buy it and let me know!

There is "Mains Select" on the back so you can switch to 240V. I'm not sure if that means they're ok for you or not?

You need to check the specs on the mains power transformer to see if it is rated 50/60Hz. If only 60 I'd be reluctant to try since at best it would run hot!
Every Jubilee and Marshall have a multi voltage selector on the back.. They are the best as far as the world traveler is concerned.
