That's a very half-empty glass you've got there.
Finally getting one of these after waiting so long seems like a bit of a victory to me.

Just came off the phone from DV24/7 and yes they have a delivery from Gibson coming in on the 10th May as you stated StewartW but they do not know what is in the delivery and still cannot say when they will arrive. I go back to my post on 5th May. So be prepared to be dissapointed . You may not get it yet
Hey Guys, spoke with Digital Village yesterday 04/05/2011 and they said that they have been given a new ETA of 10th May for the Epi JB's to arrive, expect another couple of days after that for distribution from the DV central Hub to stores and hopefully by say the 14/15th of this month I will finally get my paws on one of these bad boys! Yehaaaa!!!

OK, we'll just have to see what happens. Ta for the info
Just called DV and they have had a delivery from Gibson/Epiphone yesterday but NO JB's on that delivery, still got to wait!!!
Life Sucks at the moment in every department, I might just go and find myself a large bottle od Jack Daniels and get slowly smashed
Ah, crap! You're kidding me!
From now and forevermore I shall bow to the sage wisdom of bonamassafan. Well done, mate. You called it perfectly.
StewartW, save some of that JD for me.
Thanks Yorkiedav, I feel the same as you. Just think, with the £500 we gave DV, the months that have passed, the lost INTEREST!! and saved a bit more, we could have bought a real Gibson. Proberly would have to wait for that one too.
They sure have us by the "gonads" .
A new update,
E-mailed Gibson yesterday, here is the reply.
Thank you for writing to us. The delivery of the Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Les Paul is delayed unfortunately. We expect this model to arrive in the European shops not before the end of June.
We are sorry for your inconvenience and the delay. Gibson Europe is delayed with delivery; our dealers however will only get invoiced when the guitars are delivered to the shop. If you have questions about the payment modalities please address your dealer directly. Gibson does not interfere with the payments policies of the dealers.
If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us again or refer to our webpage at www.gibson.com

So retailers here are sitting pretty with our money?
Another month or more to wait
Does anyone know if the European models are definately 100% perfect models? I'm a little worried that some of the broken and second models are being redone and shipped to us in Europe. Don't quite understand why America got these months ago and Europe hasn't. There are only meant to be 1000 anyway, I don't know how quick Gibson's factorys build a guitar but surely they shouldn't take months over a few hundred.
Oh, FFS!
They're taking the Pee.
I don't care how shiny it is now, it will always be tarnished by this complete and utter F-Up
It doesn't reflect well. Is this how Gibson treat all their customers?
I seriously thinking about pulling the plug on this one guys and getting my money back!!!!!
Stuff them!
I wonder what Joe would make of all this?

Thats just plain wrong. You'll probably be able to buy a JB studio before the epi's get there!
I'm sure Joe isn't pleased and can convey that to Gibson, but I doubt he has any control over how quickly they're built and shipped. The epi's aren't even built in the US.
Sounds like a good time to get full refund and save a little more to get Studio. Also, so surprised these two models came out so close to each other, personally if I owned a Epi, would be bummed I didn't know earlier about Studio.
Hey Guys, in the words of Scouser Tommy Calm Down, Calm Down!!
Look at it this way, we all knew that there was going to be a wait for these guitars, we all knew that there were proplems with the reliability of the shipping method and a high percentage of Breakages when the guitars were recieved, so chill out! and lets just look forward to getting them at some stage.
If they don't arrive at all, then i'll be pissed, but until that moment, I'm cool

I own the Epi, and I'm not the least bit bummed!
The Studio version doesn't have binding on the neck or body. My Epi does, and I think it simply looks better than the Studio. Also, the Studio's body is chambered ("weight-relieved" is Gibson's term, I think), and I'm pretty sure my Epi's is not. It sounds like the Studio's neck profile is similar if not identical to the Epi's, and the Gibson USA Burstbuckers are identical. So I'm hard-pressed to see why the Studio should make any Epi owners jealous. Our JBs will sound just as good, and look better...for half the dough!
I agree with Coach305, which is why I'm going to hang on for the Epi, despite my disappointment with the service from them.
Plus, I couldn't afford the extra £'s just to have 'Gibson' on the headstock.
Coach - You shouldn't be bummed, jealous, etc - I never said you should be - I used the word "personally", as in me.
That being said, your Epi is a great value guitar, but you saying: "Our JBs will sound just as good, and look better...for half the dough!".... is telling yourself what you want to hear. Epi China made guitar will not sound/resonate and feel as good as a Gibson USA made guitar. Gibson name on headstock does mean and worth something: Better Playability, Better Craftsmanship, Better Warranty, Better Re-sale Value, More Collectible, etc, etc..
Like telling me a Toyota is as good in quality, performance, feel, etc as a Lexus or a Squire is as good as American Made Strat, etc, etc. I wish some people would just say, I can't afford or justify the cost of a Gibson and the Epi is all I require - not say: "Our JBs will sound just as good, and look better...for half the dough!"
All should be happy to have any guitar at the end of the day- congrats on your Epi purchase, I say that sincerely.
