Topic: Danny Gatton

There is a reissue of "Redneck Jazz Explosion Volumes 1 & 2". 2 seperate discs. Recorded live, New Year's eve 1978, at the Cellar Door in D.C.. It is Danny and pedal steel master, Buddy Emmons. Blues Review gives it a rave. Calls it "like finding a previously unreleased concert by "Eric Clapton and Duane Allman.." All instrumental, says it was caught on tape in near perfect fidelity... I know Danny was Joe's friend and this will make him happy!!! Cathy

Re: Danny Gatton

Last Friday night, between Walter Trout's first and second set, the venue was showing a DVD of Danny Gatton's appearance on "Austin City Limits" from the early '90's I believe. That was the first time I'd seen video of Danny in action. Man, that guy could play! He made it look so easy. Great band, too. Check out http://www.dannygatton.com/main.html
It's got lots of cool stuff including music and video clips. Also, there is a link to another website that sells Danny's CD's, including "Redneck Jazz Explosion, Vol. 1 & 2".
