Topic: Part of Joe's Technique?

So I've been listening to some track and I stumbled on a part which I love in the guitar playing, but I don't know if it's either actually the technique or a combination of effects...

You can hear what I mean at around 2:04.

Or is it just the combination of the wah and a lot of vibrato?

Re: Part of Joe's Technique?

An excellent wah technique is what you're hearing.  A slow pitch shift with the wah to start the note, ending the note with a good amount of vibrato.  Wah pedals are harder than they look to make sound right. -Seth

Whoa, whoa, whoa... Where the hell is that on "Black Rock"? It's reminiscent of "High Water Everywhere", but electrified! I must have it added to my library!
