Topic: My tunes (part deux)

Okay, my band had a show last Friday night. This is an original song (no it's not a Buddy Guy cover  cool ). I should caution that it was our first full show together, and we had only run through this song a couple of a times prior. But I like how it turned out.

Sweet! cool

Re: My tunes (part deux)

I'd get a new drummer...

Re: My tunes (part deux)

He's a great drummer. On that song, he was having some problems with his set, and finally just had to adjust it midsong. Normally, he's really good.

You look nothing like your profile picture?!?  Nice job.

Re: My tunes (part deux)

I gotta go with Dave on this one...

Re: My tunes (part deux)

Read the explanation guys. I've already said what was going on. He's a good drummer.

Re: My tunes (part deux)

Hey Deezer,

I thought it sounded good! Funny, I've got family in Harrison... Wayne and Peggy Thompson... I don't know how old you are or how long you've been there, but they have two grown boys named Wade and Clay. My uncle Wayne owns Ferguson's Country Store and Restaurant... small world!

Yes I have heard of them! It is a small world!

Thanks a lot Nic! I've got a recording of one of the songs we wrote. Should be done today. Kinda rough, but at least you'll finally get to hear it!

Too funny, if you end up at fergusons, flag down Wayne and tell him you know his nephew Logan.

Re: My tunes (part deux)

To be honest Deezer...I didn't really notice that bit until I watched it again...I was just thinking he played like Starr rather than a Bonham...sorry.
I like the tune...

Re: My tunes (part deux)

Will do Logan!  smile

Dave, no worries. The song was a bit unrehearsed, I think we ran through once, maybe twice before that point. I'm just saying he is a really good drummer, just still figuring out how he wants to approach that particular song.

Re: My tunes (part deux)

Thanks guys! I've added some new stuff to my reverbnation page. It's not recorded the best, but I like it turned out considering the room we were in, how we recorded, etc. Also, to the guys who were giving their opinions on my drummer, listen to our cover of Bridge To Better Days.  smile I think you guys will like his style on these a bit more. And on Bridge and Just Got Paid, that was done off the cuff, that's why the middle solo sections on both songs are not there. We're just jamming out on those.
