Topic: Joe, if youve got a moment...
...I have an acoustic question.
What are you playing these days? Ive seen you with everything from Larri's to Martins to Taki's. Is there one guitar you're digging at the moment.
Thanks,
Cat

I think that Joe had clarified this on a earlier post that the new album is not going to an all acoustic lp. He is playing some new songs on the current set list. Can't wait for the release whatever it will be...
Hi cat,
Have a look at Buddhas post ("Cool Joe Bonamassa Interview...") - the interview was published 2004, but still it´s very interesting to read, if you wanna get a lot of information about Joe´s guitars ...

Hi Eva,
Yeah I read the tonequest report way back in '04 but I am more interested in Joe's Acoustics.

I am actually Playing my Takamine Santa Fe and a Pair of custom shop Gibson J-45's for live. I just got a A Davis guitar that is quite wonderful. They are made in the San Diego area. Check them out. Mine was made for Jeff Pevar but I ended up with it instead. Its great. In the studio I used a 1958 Martin D-28, a 1936 Gibson L-Century and a 1965 Gibson Humingbird..

Hey Joe,
Thanks a bunch for your reply. I really admire your touch on the acoustic, I dont think enough credit goes where its due in that respect. Sounds like you have a nice selection of steel strings there.
Ill definitely take a look at the A Davis guitars.
BTW Joe, you should check out Australia's Maton Guitars if you get a chance. Everyone from Tommy Emmanuel to George Harrison has used them. Perhaps you could come down to pick it up and play a few shows hahaha.
Thanks again for your reply, I appreciate your time. Looking forward to the new record!

how is Takamine pronounced?
is it 'taka'+'MINE' - as in that guitar is mine?
or 'taka'+'meanee' - as in that grumply old guy is a meanee?

It's tock-a-meanee. No accent on any syllable.
man all these guitar companies and their pronunciations!
Gigliotti is "jill-aw-tee" etc...
