Hey guys,
It is indeed my old 68...  After a long time with it I decided it may be time to let it go to a better home.. I traded it back in Feb for a couple of killer guitars that I am playing at the moment.. Its the Les Paul I used on "A New Day Yesterday" both the album and the song..Its a really strong guitar and I loved it for a long time but honestly with the 59 its hard to play anything else.. So I hope it finds a good new home.  I am happy with the 295 and red 355..  I look forward to giving them a loving welcome to the flock..

Thanks, Joe, for clearing the things out. Really appreciate that.

To my mind, this statement does not influence the interest, as the people, who now bid on the auction have the interest ALREADY, so there is nothing more to influence, really.  smile

Well, the pikers have been cleared out. $10K and the real bidders wait for the last moments.

Good luck to the person who gets her.....a great investment...better than the stock market too!

OK sounds like  a story I NEED to hear.  ANYONE???????

If you look up to the heavens just before the start of every Joe Bonamasaa concert you can see Stevie, Jimi, Muddy, Gary and others leaning over God’s railing jockeying for the best view.
And if you listen, you can hear Stevie say  “ SHHhhhh,  The kids about to start playing.”

Fun looking at the bidding. A new one just jumped in with an hour or so to go. Near $15 k and looks to go towards 20! yikes

Yes, on another thread, Joe mentioned that he was not a big fan of P-90s.  That's why I posted earlier in this thread that I thought Joe couldn't say too much about this guitar as it could be misconstrued as being negative etc.

Doesn't look like that has affected the bidding any though...  wink

Re: Joe Bonamassa's '68 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop on eBay

I don't care for them myself and apparently someone else didn't because by late 1956 they replaced them with buckers.
Goes to show that there are some fans of Joe out there with deep pockets. Would like to see it hit 20k.

WOW!! $18,100!! I just happened to catch the last 3 min of auction. Stunning!

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Re: Joe Bonamassa's '68 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop on eBay

18.1k.

That's some serious coin.

A very cool guitar though.

I wonder what the two guitars traded for this were worth. I saw the 53 gold archtop and it was immaculate. Heck of a price though.  cool

Hmmmm, guitar or car.  What to do?  Must be nice to have that much "play" money. Of course, I just finished explaining to my wife how the Flying V litho was an investment. wink
