Topic: Thinking about a new amp

I don't need a new amp but I saw that if I bought a AC Vox it came with a free TV-4 amp.  I was thinking wow thats pretty cool I could buy the amp and sell the TV-4 as new to help cut the cost down.  What do you think?  I never owned a Vox!  hmm

Re: Thinking about a new amp

i just bought a VOX AC-4-TV and i love my great tones

Re: Thinking about a new amp

Well I want an AC15, and it would come with the ac-4 as gift for free, and I would then sell it to knock $200 off the normal price of the AC15.  My dad has the AC-4 and your right its wonderful but I already have access to one of those.   smile

Re: Thinking about a new amp

Two amps for the price of one, yea I would grab that. I missed out on a strat deal like that and am kicking myself now for it.

Re: Thinking about a new amp

AC-15s are great.  I would have bought one when I bought my last amp, but my Genz-Benz is a little more versatile.  I really like the tone of the AC-15 over the AC-30.  You just can't get a good tone on the AC-30 without cranking it.  Most places I play are small venues, so I don't need anything that has to peel the paint off the walls to sound good.

Re: Thinking about a new amp

A cranked AC15 is blissful mate! Loud enough for most gigs as long as you dont need tons of headroom.

Re: Thinking about a new amp

My AC15C1 has been putting a grin on my face for almost a year now.  A real bargain even without the freebie AC4TVmini...

I don't think VOX amps can be biased so they will cook power tubes.
