Topic: Kudo's to E-Bay,no Really ?????

Ya'll won't hear me say this to very often.  wink  There's a company, that I have seen that's somewhere in the UK ,I belive ,that made a JB Goldtop worn copy, and they linked it up with Joe's good name, but it really wasn't endorsed by Joe. They pulled it,nice to see them do the right thing.

Re: Kudo's to E-Bay,no Really ?????

Vintage guitar company.  They do that to a lot of good folks and then quit making them to keep from getting in trouble.  You Gibson can't sue them really because they don't look exactly like a LP, and I think all the artist can do is get them to stop making them which is what they've done in the first place.  Its loose, loose.

Re: Kudo's to E-Bay,no Really ?????

They are careful not to say its a Joe Bonamassa model.. they've even come up with somthing JB stands for instead. I think it's Jazz/Blues or something..

Wilkinson Vintage just modeled a 58 Flying V too... wouldn't mind checking that out!

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

Haha! Yeah, trev wilkinson is a big part of vintage, hes a Cheeky bugger with his "Icon" series guitars, he had the JB (Jazz/Blues model...yeah right!) theyve also got burst finish with a reversed neck pup called the "Lemon Drop" not to mention a strat with a reverse headstock called the "Fillmore" the list goes on!  big_smile

Theyre actually very popular over here, especially with the kids, they lap em up! I tried their take on a 52 tele in a shop, it was ok I guess, some nasty fret ends though. hmm

Re: Kudo's to E-Bay,no Really ?????

I love the ''fool'' guitar best though.  Its the most affordable option I've seen of it.  Everything else that looks like it cost way too much.

Re: Kudo's to E-Bay,no Really ?????

Yeah mine is called the Jazz Blues... I was like haaaa haaaaa very funny.. Honestly I expect more from those folks... It did " inspire" me to approach Epiphone to see about a cheaper JB.  So something good came of it.  But I wont be inviting them out for a pint anytime soon..

It sure as heck did!  And I'm tickled to death to be one of the fortunate ones who got his hands on one of those "somethings."  Hats off to you and the folks at Gibson/Epiphone.  Nicely done all around...

Yup took a few to finally get one,but it was well worth the wait, long live fat neck's.  Now about an affordable Bonabyrd,(hint hint).
