Topic: Hi from Sunny Sheffield!!

Hi y'all. Finally steeled myself to chip in officially! Having been a fan of blues and blues guitar for many years, I've watched and listened to JB for a long time and really enjoyed watching his star rise - particuarly over the last two or three years.

I play in a 3 piece blues rock band (called Sloe Gin - hope JB doesn't mind! - as I said in a post elsewhere) and we cover a few of his tracks. It ALWAYS goes down well with the audience, but inevitably it seems too few people have heard of him! Still we'll keep doing what we can to change that and introduce as many people to JB's music as we can. Biggest success to date is getting my 15 yr old daughter to put down the shred machine and pick up a Les Paul and have a go at a few JB numbers - how cool is that??!

It seems I'm in good company on here as there appears to be a good number of guitarists/ guitar enthusiasts - looking forward to chipping in in my humble way....... smile

Ey up, russk.
I'm just over the border in Rotherham, just t'other side of Meadowhell.
Let me know where your band are playing locally and me an the mrs will come along to lend voice to the cheers.
We love live music, but since the Boardwalk shut-up shop we're struggling to scratch the itch.
I noodle around on the guitar a bit myself and have one of the Epi JBLPs on order.
I need to do less noodling and more playing though, it's a painfully slow process.
I spend most of my time in the gear section on here.  See you there....

Hi Mate,

Would be absolutely brilliant to meet you - you're a JB fan so are already a top bloke!! As for the gigs, I'll let you know. Just been asked to play a charity event at Swinton so will post the date soon. In the meantime, dont know if you're aware, but most of the gigs that were at the Boardwalk are now on at The Greystones, Ecclesall Road instead. Chantel McGregor there in July - she's had the privilege of Jamming with Joe!
