Topic: New Amp And Thank you

I would like to say thank you to all who helped me with info in regards to (NEED MORE AMP HELP) thread. I know i said i was going to wait unitl i got back from Paris, but could not wait any longer, so i now own a VOX AC-4-TV all tube amp and it sounds great. I'm very happy so far with this amp, nice warm clean tones and the tubes cranked up have a great warm overdive tone to them, and i also bought a BOSS REV-5 reverb pedal which i really like a lot, and a Boss Blues Driver BD-2, it sounds good but i'm still playing with this one not sure if i'm going to keep it yet. It has a nice tone but i think i might want something with a little more crunch.

I thought you were going to go for the Class 5!  I watched some videos of the tv4 and it does have a very nice clean sound.  Glad you like it, hope it works for you!

Yeah i was going to go with the class 5 but it was 400 vs 250 for the vox and the vox has a .25 watt to 4 watt switch so i can still jam late at night with out making me a single man again, but the VOX can put out some loud sound as well big_smile . I'm real happy with it.

I know my dad is really happy with his and he's still married after 39 years of being married to the same lady (mom).  So I guess he uses that quarter watt of power a lot too.  I can't wait until it warms up a little more at night so I can hit the car port again and play some acoustic stuff.  Its louder then my electrics at the volume I get to practice at on any given night.

Thats cool that it has a low power switch.  I really liked the tone of the ones I watched in the videos.  Very nice indeed.  Glad you're pleased with it!

Nice, Single ended amps are the way to go for nice tone at low volumes.
