I ordered my JBF3 from The Mad Ape (http://www.themadape.com/) on Saturday, and it arrived today. Won't have time to really play with it until Saturday (teacher's life = busy life!), but I did think it was funny that both the Volume and Fuzz knobs were dimed when I opened the box...
I thought about ordering from the JB Store, of course, but my most recent experience with that option so far has not been a happy one. Within moments of placing my order with Mad Ape I got a confirming email, and not long after that I received shipping confirmation complete with tracking number and a link to track the order. I placed an order for some items at the JB Store on March 25, and received an email confirmation of the order. My credit card was charged immediately, but that is the last I've heard from them about the order, even though I've received other emails from them urging me to buy other items. Worse yet, one of the items I ordered (and was charged for, as I expected to be) was subsequently announced as a free giveaway item with any order placed April 8 or 9. I've checked the "My Account" link here, and all it tells me is that the order is in "Process" status, which I take to mean waiting for one or more of the items I ordered to arrive at the store...
I'm not happy with retailers who don't communicate. I'm also not happy with retailers who don't mention if an item is out of stock or back-ordered when taking online orders. I'm VERY not happy with a retailer who takes my money and then goes into radio silence for three weeks (almost every place I shop won't charge your credit card until your order ships, and they let you know immediately if that will be delayed for any reason)...
At this point, I have decided that the JB Store will be strictly for exclusive items not available elsewhere, and I guess I'll have to live with the customer service shortcomings to get those items. Anything that's available elsewhere will be purchased elsewhere...
Sorry for the rant/digression. The JBF3 looks even cooler in the metal than it does in the photos; the Dunlop folks hit a home run with the packaging, and I have every confidence that the pedal itself will live up to its billing!
