Re: Flying V indentification needed

Don't know what make it is, but I am informed by Planet Rock it was owned by a guy in Motorhead. It was played on a show called The young ones, if you google it, you might get a better look.

Re: Flying V indentification needed

Yeah not sure, but thanks for the video.  This is the first FF song I ever heard that I actually enjoy.

Re: Flying V indentification needed

Pretty sure it's th custom built V by Dave Dearnaley (from Wales), originally built for Philthy Animal Taylor from Motörhead. Somewhere I have a photo of me with that guitar nd a signed ticket:)

Re: Flying V indentification needed

I read that guitar world artical and he never said what brand it was, but he did say it was from the guy in Motor Head and check out these Skull Volume Knobs!

It is this exact same one...and Dave said it wasn't a very well made guitar. Someone off the forums said he'd sold it to Grohl for $10k, but this was smacked down by someone else to the figure of around $6k (as I can remember).
I will grab the link away...

People twist things...but we can gather that it was made by D.D...appeared on the Young Ones  cool  and perhaps isn't as luthier a guitar as people want it to be. Still....rock and mofo roll....
