No one should try to Fake a Guitar or offer a guitar for sale as something it's not. However, like me and a lot of other people, I do not like the Epi headstock shape.

So as long as Epihone (advertised as 'made by Gibson') produce Les Pauls identical in appearance to those made by Gibson USA except for HS shape I don't see a problem in converting it for personal gratification.

However the original Epi serial number should be retained.
Korean Epi's are nice bodies, good weight and lend themselves ideal for upgrading with Gibson Hardware. This is not faking - it is very easy to spot a Gibson fake. Not so easy a Fender, if you buy a used Fender body, Neck and hardware from different sources and bolt it all together, is it a Fender?.

You can't do this so easily with a Gibson

Yet another email from DV247 saying they have no idea when it will be available. sad
Getting quite p'd-off now.
What the hell can take so long? It's been 5 months since I place my order now.
Still, Epi have got me by the short ones. I can't cancel now, and they know it. hmm

My local dealer (Dawsons, Reading) has had my deposit since 3rd September and I also canceled my order yesterday, but...............I did order the Studio instead! That thing is going to be quite rare in the UK. Dawsons only had two allocated for all of their stores-one on order in Manchester and one spare that I promptly bagged.

Pretty nice Nic. As you can see from the pic I posted over on JBXP, I didn't run the strings under that bar on the Bigsby as I thought the angle looked too extreme. (Thought that might be a problem with tuning on the wound strings). It seems to be holding tuning OK, and I haven't popped any strings out of the vee guides on the bridge so far...  If that becomes a problem then the next set of strings will go under instead of over. Can't wait to get home Friday and play it again!

My Italian Dealer confirm it too, but this experience bring me to dislike limited run Gibson politicy, it's only another way to make business, so I don't want this guitar more!!

I don't think you can blame DV247, or any other supplier. They can only ship stuff to you when they receive it from the manufacturers.
Direct your frustration to Gibson/Epiphone. It's them with their thumbs up their arses.

Hey Guys, spoke with Digital Village yesterday 04/05/2011 and they said that they have been given a new ETA of 10th May for the Epi JB's to arrive, expect another couple of days after that for distribution from the DV central Hub to stores and hopefully by say the 14/15th of this month I will finally get my paws on one of these bad boys! Yehaaaa!!! lol  lol  lol
