I have yet to buy a CD that any AI contestant has released, and likely never will. However, I really like the show and make it a point to watch every episode. I fear that your boy will be in the bottom 3 tonight though. Didn't care for Casey's performance last night. Started out with potential, but the shouting at the end just didn't do it for me. Many of his earlier performances were spot-on for sure. It will be interesting to see the results tonight.

Yes, not his best...but...Randy put it best "fearless", his biggest opportunity ever and he's just going for it....I respect the kid, I hope he wins it all....when Chris Daughtry was voted off years back, I believe anyone can win it

They alluded to the fact that the majority of voting is done by adolescent & teenage girls so naturally they will be voting the young gentlemen thru and Loran & Haley are closer to their age, so they still stand a chance.   Pia, being the "older woman," didn't stand much of a chance.  I saw an interview of her yesterday and they said she already had a record label.

I pretty much stopped watching Idol a few years ago, but the wife had it on last week so I caught the controversy with eliminated contestant.  I agree with Patty and Rick that teen girls have long dominated the voting and if the show wants to keep itself on television then the producers must address this problem.

Which is why the need to consider doing a half judges and half audience scoring result (like Dancing With the Stars).  If they want to find the best they have to neutralize the white teen/pre-teen girls voting block.  Almost like clockwork now you see black females go first.  Regardless of talent they have no chance these days.  Then usually followed by the older women, or the really unappealing boys.  I think Pia had a real chance to win it if based on talent and overall packaging.

Pia had easily the best voice and gets voted off  wtf... patty's right she didnt get the youth votes, but she gets a contact and she deserves it, think maybe (as i said Pia was gonna win)

Hi Guys,,,,, I would say that American Idols 2011 is the best Television show Which Really inspired me a lot . It includes  lot of fun . I like the performance of Steven Tyler a lot . He is wonderful  and  nice.

No doubt, Michael...Pia was clearly the best pure vocalist in the competition. I think what happened is the voting public assumed she would advance and/or get enough votes so they voted for those they thought might be in trouble that they also liked. I don't know though, just my best guess. It isn't the first time I've been surprised by how the viewers voted!

I guess I can't complain too much, I didn't pick up the phone to vote.

I agree that Pia has an amazing voice, but for me she was MAJOR boring. Absolutely no stage presence. I don't vote but would have voted James durbin, Haley and Casey ahead of Pia.

I cringe every time I have to hear her do that voice pushing growl.  I can't stand her.

Pia also has the looks.... no question! People today tend to vote on presentation .. more on what they see, rather less on what they hear. I could extend that argument into todays politics.... hmmm.... but not here!

i did not get a chance to watch this season's American Idol. i just dont like the new judges. we had been so busy liking the previous judges that we didnt like this new panel.
