Jeff Beck Rock&Roll Party Tribute to LEs Paul out today...:)

Yes it does look a bit so...I guess it's supposed to be retro for Les Paul, with that big Jazz Guitar he is holding on the cover...I think Jeff also discusses some of his guitars on the DVD
as a bonus..Anyway Jeff has never disapointed me on DVD....I will watch it later

Yeah, SMOKIN'!!  Rockabilly heaven!  This is the best Jeff's sounded in a long time and the presence of Imelda May and her band a huge plus.....Vaya Con Dios baby!

Huge understatement Don.  I don't have alot of Imelda's music, but hope there will be another album of her and Beck for the future.  This concert must have been something to witness.

I was just going to post a "Jeff Beck's Rock N' Roll Party Honoring Les Paul" topic when I came across this one. I'm resurrecting it because I think it deserves more attention.

I went to this show last night and sat in the 3rd row, dead center. The dvd came in the mail this week, I didn't break the seal yet and didn't look at the setlist.

WOW!! Beyond FANTASTIC, this was an ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING show!!  WE know Jeff Beck is Amazing, and his fingers are just that, he is also king of the whammy bar.  Imelda is actually even prettier in person and what a voice!  She started out in one dress and got changed into another later, but her shoes remained the same....at least 6" spike gold glitter pumps with maybe a 1/2" platform on the front. (they looked like Joe's Goldie  )  Anyway, the first dress she had on was the same one on the DVD cover, except in a different color, she was in a periwinkle color with gold. (I do the same thing, if I find something that fits and looks good, buy 2 in different colors.)  Her second dress was a one shoulder tiger striped pattern.

Back to the music, the stand-up bass sounded wonderful, the horn section was just spectacular.  It was really special hearing the Yardbirds and a few Elvis tunes.

They played back to back sold old shows, my show didn't start til after 11. Someone I was with took some photos and stayed after to hang by the bus and we both were working the venue, employees etc. to get Jeff's guitar strings for STringsforaCURE.  I will post his photos later.

Long Live Rock 'n' Roll!!  Jeff Beck is totally awesome for honoring Les Paul like this.

Here are some great photos from this fantastic show, mainly Jeff playing his beautiful guitars. I requested one photo of Imelda's shoes, not a one, maybe he thought I was kidding.    Also, only a shot of the 2nd dress, not the first, which was prettier.

This was the first time I saw Jeff Beck.  I've watched him lots on video, but in person, beyond his incredible talent, I was so impressed with how humble he was.  He actually announced one song by saying, please forgive me if I don't get this just right!!! Honestly, I could not believe my ears.  I am sooooo glad I went to this show!

Take note, as compared to the DVD cover, Jeff took off his sleeves...I think he feels nude with them on!!

Wow great show last Friday, Jeff Kicked **** and Imelda May wow, what a voice.  I was able to meet her before the show her eyes are dreamy!
