So, 2 minutes after the tickets go on sale you find out that the 'pre-sale' people (explained to me as members of the JoeB fanclub and other 'groups') get first shot at tickets a week in advance.  So all the premium seats are gone.  Real nice.  I wonder how many of those 'fan club' seats are on stubhub right now for an outrageous amount.

Sucks that this crap still has to go on.  For some reason I thought the dude was different, you know cared about the average 'Joe'

Go figure.. 34 front row section AAA-CCC section tickets posted within 15 minutes of sale.

Yeah. Check around the forum. The pre-sale has been quite a bust.  In general, the pre-sale tickets have ranged from row 20+ back to balcony.  Virtually no premium seats are being offered to Fan Club member or John Q Public.  Venue promoters are keeping the good stuff for the scalpers and their own private VIPs.  So we have been grumbling just like you and working to get over it.

Well I can tell you this as a fact.  The tickets went on sale at 12:00.  I was online at 12:00 and the Parque level (floor) was sold out at 12:01 but for 4 seats (900+ seats on that level).  I found it hard to believe so I called to order tickets.  At 12:15 an operator confirmed that there were 4 seats available in the lower section and that over 60% of the mezzanine and loge seats will gone as well to advance sales.  Advance sales were defined to me to be JB fan club members and Academy of Music members.  With all due respect to Joe, his demand in Philly by the people who frequent the Acad of Music isn't that high.

Other than my assumption of where the tickets went, the rest is fact both times and amount of tickets available at the times I stated.

First and foremost, a lot of these ticketing issues are out of Joe's control.  I'd also like to say IMHO, this issue is: a supply & demand matter coupled with Joe's popularity and the growing pains associated with running his business.  Add to that the scalpers, who want to cash in on Joe's popularity as well.  sad 

Second-this pre-sale for Philly involved a very large demographic beyond Joe fans and Academy of Music members, it reached out to most people that ever bought concert tickets in the area on the internet!!

The Academy ticketing is under the Kimmel Center, where the orchestra now plays which also does ticketing under the Ticket Philadelphia system, which incorporates The Mann Music Center and other venues.  In addition, if you're on venues mailing lists like The Keswick Theater in Glenside, PA you also got advance notice about the pre=sale.  If you were on AEG's mailing list, you also got advance notice.  That is how most of the tickets were sold in the pre-sale, almost everyone knew about it!!

I bought 4 extra tickets, which I've sold face value to friends. If any don't end up attending, I'll e-mail you.  smile  I sympathize with your ticket frustration!  wink
