This week the American Idol contestants will perform songs from Hall of Fame inductees. With a wide range of artists, the possibilities are near endless. However, the contestants will have a little help choosing and crafting the famous songs.
Jeff Beck, a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, will help the contestants tailor the pieces to fit their styles. Beck is a hall of famer as not only a solo artist, but as member of The Yardbirds as well.
Not only will the contestants work in the studio with Beck, but it’s rumored he’ll even lend his talents alongside the American Idol band.
There’s no word on the official song list, but the top nine are hard at work shaping their choices for this week’s performance.
It’s suggested that Beck will appear both Wednesday and Thursday night. The results show will not only feature Beck, but a performance by former American Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis as well.
