Topic: Music Changed My Life. How has it influenced yours?

Hey Guys,
Im new to the forum and just thought Id get to know you all a bit by posting this.
I guess Ill tell you my story and then you can tell me yours smile

I owe pretty much everything I have to music.
My boyfriend was influenced by Joe into learning to play guitar and because of this he joined his current band.. And through this band, we met each other. At the time of meeting one another, I was going through a bit of a tough time and Rus helped me through this and now, I am happier than I have ever been. At the time of meeting Rus, I had no friends, had an eating disorder, was not allowed to go out and socialize and was in an abusive relationship and he helped me through all of this. I now have an amazing amount of friends and the most amazingly perfect boyfriend I could ever wish for. I go out now and enjoy myself. Recently, Rus took me to a Blues Fest which made me fall in love with blues entirely smile Without music (and Joe) I wouldnt have all of this now.

Rus, if you read this.. I love you. I have done since the 23rd of January 2009 and I want to know if you'll stay with me always? I know we're young but I have never felt so strongly about anything in my life.

So yeah, thats how music influenced my life.. How about yours guys?

Going back to the beginning - my 'lightbulb moments ' as i like to call them,  The Beatles - then i heard Jimi Hendrix, my musical direction changed for ever ..... then Led Zeppelin came along, Big influence. Rod Stewart & the Faces were also an influence.

Then another direction..... Prog Rock ...  YES, Genesis, King Crimson ... Pink Floyd, Rush ect, Big influence on me.. still are.

Then around 10 years ago... another direction, & lightbulb moment, i found Incubus, love this band!

My last lightbulb moment , Joe Bonamassa who i found around the time of Sloe Gin.... now I'm a little obsessed ... i've caught the bug!!  smile  lol
