Topic: Is this the JBLP Studio?

Not sure if anyones already spotted this, but just watching some of the very few Joe videos on youtube I havent already seen, and I reckon hes playing the JBLP studio proto.

I see no binding there, so it has to be the studio. Interesting truss rod cover, with the signature rather than just BONAMASSA, otherwise, looks very similar the the CS model.

Quite interesting for anyone who has one on order (including me  smile )

Guitars: Gibson JBLP Studio, Gibson LP '58 Reissue VOS Washed Cherry, Gibson LP Standard Ltd Edition Manhattan Midnght Blue, Gibson LP Custom Black Beauty 3PU with Bigsby, Gibson SG Standard, Fender Telecaster Jimmy Page Custom.

Re: Is this the JBLP Studio?

I do believe it is. Looks like a Joe B sig minus the binding.

Re: Is this the JBLP Studio?

yeah looks pretty darn cool, sounds good too, but so would a guitar with plastic strings in JBs hands  wink

Guitars: Gibson JBLP Studio, Gibson LP '58 Reissue VOS Washed Cherry, Gibson LP Standard Ltd Edition Manhattan Midnght Blue, Gibson LP Custom Black Beauty 3PU with Bigsby, Gibson SG Standard, Fender Telecaster Jimmy Page Custom.

Re: Is this the JBLP Studio?

Truss rod cover is different too isnt it? That seems to have the studio writing rather than the vertical Bonamassa of the gold tops.

Nice guitar that, I'd play one for sure. smile

It actually looks like joes signature when you full screen it, which is pretty cool

Re: Is this the JBLP Studio?

I brought this same thing up in another thread with the new rig rundown.  Some said it wasn't but I believe it to be the new Studio model.  It has no binding and his sig on the truss rod cover.  -Seth

Yes it does! I'm looking forward to this release but even more for the day when there's a JB signature 59 LP that's copied from his vintage 59! You can bet those will be sold out before they hit the stores!!!!!!!

Re: Is this the JBLP Studio?

I saw it up close a couple of weeks ago. Very nice. The Epi's and these are great guitars and the prices are affordable. Great to have them available for those that can't justify the Custom Shop expense.

Re: Is this the JBLP Studio?

If anyone reading this could post a link for a dealer accepting pre-orders, that would be swell.  None of the dealers I've heard mentioned on this thread have anything about this guitar that I can find, nor does Gibson's own website...

Call your favorite Gibson dealer. I don't think Gibson has released much information as yet. But I do know this:
Limited Edition of 600 worldwide
Glossy Goldtop
Black back and neck
Grover Tuners
Burstbucker 2 & 3 pickups

If you watch the videos from the link provided in the first post, you will see and hear the guitar.

Hope this helps answer your questions. Good Luck!
