Was this a nationwide thing? I'm in the ATL area and have never heard of it. Was at my niece's hs graduation this weekend in Panama City and they were doing it there. Did not hear a peep around here about it.

I think it's nationwide.  I get a postcard in my mailbox every year as a reminder from my mail carrier and it's always on a Saturday in May. A very sad thought to think of people being hungry, especially young children.

Hi kellie,

Yes it was nation wide, cant answer your ATL, dont know why. That bothers me, having been raised by a mother who had to raise 6 kids when the old man kicked us aside, I know what it was like not having a lot of food around. We, the letter carrieres take a lot of pride in doing our part to feed the hungry. In our office we believe we broke our own record for collecting. We have to wait on the results.
