Topic: Hello from Missouri

Hello to all, I'm Lorie , live about 5 miles "as the crow flies" from the Mississippi river in mid-Mo., actually lived w/ the river as my front yard (good fishing!) for the first few years of my marriage (been married 31 years to the love of my life). So I really love all Joe's songs about the water or river.  Am a Respiratory Therapist for 18 years now. Saw Joe about a year ago on Palladia and thought "who IS this dude" got DVD RAH, then CD's LFNIP and John Henry, and got to see him in Kansas City 3-3-11. No going back now!!! Best musician I've ever seen/ heard, he'll be #1 to me from now on. Can't wait to get Dust Bowl !

Hi Lorie, glad you found our place here. I think you may be our first Missourian, in which case we have another state represented. (edit - no you're not -sorry Rhonda, I plumb forgot about St. Louis - profuse and crestfallen apologies)  But, you are one of many health-workers here. (Funny how Joe appeals to that sector so strongly.) As you say, once you've been Bonabitten and then Bonabaptized, there ain't no turning back.  tongue
