Interesting seeing that aging in up close pictures. Looks pretty beat up.
It looks like it was never kept in a case, just carried around from gig to gig, rattling around in a car trunk along with a bowling ball and tennis racket for 30 years.  lol

How interesting, the Joe Bonamassa Goldtop’s were not made in 2010. So if I buy this guitar now and sell it in 2013, will it become a 2012 JBLP?

Sound like Joe's requested for his signature model.

I'm sure that if they made another 300, they would sell just as well as the first 300.

That one DID look a bit hard used - Are the other aged gold tops not as beat up then?

I've only seen pictures of the aged ones...I don't have one in hand to compare it to  sad  but it looks about the same as the others. Maybe someone that owns an aged one will chime in?

Looks very similar in terms of the aging.  The lower horn looks like it may have a little more than mine but other than that it looks the same.  My "Les Paul" is more faded too, not sure if that is something that changed guitar to guitar or if it's because it was an earlier mfg. #.

I agree, it looks about right. They all have varying degrees of "aging". Actually, the checking on this one looks better than most.

Can someone explain to me why people cover up the serial # when selling on ebay?.......I don't get it.

If you look at the second picture in the listing, the back of the guitar, and zoom in on the headstock...it's either 173 or 175. Not that it makes any difference.

I didn't see Joe play a Goldtop all weekend!

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

It seems to be a much heavier distress than my number 38 although it is similar it is more pronounced especially the headstock. The tuners are much more pitted.

Joe has got a thing for that 59 Nic. Goldtops are being treated like stepchildren of late.

You know, after hearing on here over the past couple of weeks that Joe isn't playing his gold tops in favour of the '59 has actually cooled my ardor significantly for getting one of his gold LPs.  I was kinda hoping that if I get one I could get him to sign it during his Oz tour.

It will be interesting to see whether he brings his goldies or his '59 on the tour down under.  I am betting that if I see him play the gold ones on stage, I will start hankering for one again... Strange psychology isn't it...

I would guess the 59 won't be flying to Oz. Unless he buys it a seat. smile Fly in shows are different and when he brought #52 the last time it took a beating.

That would be a good time for Joe to have the 59 refretted.

Whatever happened to the bid... All suddenly retracted their offers...
