Joe's 54' Tele?

Hi

Anyway, I'm in love with Fender Tele's at the moment and I was curious to know if any of you had any info on Joe's tele it has a pretty amazing tone to it, really smooth with a lot of bite and it looks super cool as well. All I know is that it's in the 5000 series serial numbers which dates back to 1954. its funny, for such a nice sounding guitar I wonder why Joe has never played it before this? is it new or what? Does it have any history behind it? Or just a one off play from the collection.

Its a bit of a mystery to me.

Any information would be great.
