Topic: Milwaukee - March 12, 2011

Set list was changed up a bit for guest Greg Koch on two songs. Don't know who Greg is? For shame!

Cradle Rock
So Many Roads
When the Fire Hits the Sea
So It's Like That
If Heartaches Were Nickels
Slow Train
Dust Bowl
You Better Watch Yourself
Sloe Gin
Ballad of John Henry
Lonesome Road Blues
Happier Times
Further On Up the Road (w/Greg Koch)
Blues Deluxe (w/Greg Koch)

Young Man Blues
Woke Up Dreaming
Django/Mountain Time
Bird On A Wire
Just Got Paid/Dazed & Confused/Just Got Paid (reprise)

Steal Your Heart Away and Great Flood were removed from the set for this show. It paid to see both GB and Milwaukee shows.  smile

Re: Milwaukee - March 12, 2011

Thanks for posting the set list again Steve!

This time is was a packed Historical Pabst Theater where Joe performed and the audience was primed for some ROCK! Joe, Carmine, Rick and Tal didn't disappoint, that's for sure! Intensity, fun and a screaming crowd added to this fantastic show. As I passed out fliers prior to the show, I'd say things like, "Saw them in Green Bay last night and it's the best show I've seen in years!" Or, "Best show since Royal Albert Hall and maybe better!" cool  By the responses I got, you could see that was just enough to wet the appetites of the people coming in. And as Steve mentioned above, a special appearance by Greg Koch added to our local enjoyment.

Pictures and video will follow and a summation of a new feeling I have...

Great show in Milwaukee Saturday. Just fantastic. Thank You Joe for the tickets. You are a man of your word.

When I was a child I spoke as a child, But all I heard was how I should get ahead,
Now growing up it ain't anything but all This indecision with these debts and doubts
And worries hanging over my head. When I was a child I spoke as a child,
I wish I could remember what I said.

What a great show, I'm still smiling. Unbelievable the sounds that four people can make. It was great to meet some cool people.Other than the long drive down and back it was the best weekend ever.

Re: Milwaukee - March 12, 2011

This was well into the show, but I wanted to get it uploaded since it's not everyday that you see two of the world's greatest guitarists share a stage. Here you'll see Joe bring up his friend and our local son Greg Koch to play "Further On Up The Road" and if you could, listen to what Joe says about Greg before he gets on stage. Truer words have never been spoken.

After I get all the videos uploaded from both the Green Bay and Milwaukee shows, I've decided not to write a review of either of them. Why? Well, how can one describe two of the greatest shows ever seen in one's life? Both compared right up there with the Royal Albert Hall show that I was fortunate to attend. Instead, what I'd like to do is talk about Joe Bonamassa "The Man" and what my feelings are about him.

What a treat to see two great artists jamming onstage together. Was that a duct tape patch on Greg's pant leg? lol Thanks for the clips!
