In the artist section under Joe Bonamassa, the second video down shows the guitar vault and the last one he pulls out is the 59 LP.

Re: New rig rundown!

Is that the new JBLP Studio prototype he is playing in the other vids if you follow the link at the end??
It appears to have a JB signature on the truss rod cover instead of the spelled out name.  Looks pretty cool none the less.

Re: New rig rundown!

it appears to be a custom shop one... in the tour of his guitars he said he's touring with #001 now....

In the Double Neck vid...it appears the Les Paul does not have binding.

In the videos of Joe showing his warm up routine and Eric Johnson scales etc, the guitar does not appear to have neck binding and the truss rod cover is different, awfully shiny too.  Thats the one I'm talking about.  I figured it was the Studio Prototype.

Re: New rig rundown!

I am sorry to be the group Idiot.  Does Joe B not Mic the front of his speakers?  Are the Palmers taking the tone of the amps to FOH?  I listened to the recording about 20 times.  I cant tell if he is or isnt micing the cabinets.  There are mic's there... But Turned off? Maybe... Can some one please let me know.

Re: New rig rundown!

I can go one dumber.... big_smile   If he is sending each head to a Palmer why have cabinets?   Stage volume I presume???

Re: New rig rundown!

those questions aren't dumb at all.  they are excellent questions.

i don't know if i'll ever have to worry about such a thing. . .

. . . but it's cool to know. . .

joe. . . have you tried the newest faustine?

Re: New rig rundown!

Love that Jubilee tone!!

Re: New rig rundown!

I found it funny that he sounded alot like Clapton on a few of those leads he did while the amps where play one at a time, but when he started blending 2 amps together and showing us that sound to me thats when he sounded like Joe.  Its kinda scary when you think of how much of a guitar monster Joe really is.  I know a lot of pros can sound like anybody and get close, but Joe just nails anything he wants.
