Thanks Mike, had doughnuts with colorful icing this morning, in lieu of king cake. Son and I went to Mobile this past weekend for the MOT's, Mystics of Time parade, but it was cancelled due to terrible weather. Mobile is the birthplace of Mardi Gras, not New Orleans. We lived there for several years and did the parade thing a lot. If you have friends on a float, you yell out their first name only, and they throw you something good. First year one of my coworkers hit me in the face with a moon pie. They can do some damage if it's cold outside and you aren't looking for it coming. So no beads for me this year.
and yes, flip those pancakes.

wow Brack, that is some more serious Carnivale down under. I had no idea they had that going on, makes Mobile and New Orleans celebrations look like a kids party at Chuckee Cheese. I was looking for James Bond skirting through the parade crowds, oh yeah that was Brazil.

Actually Tres, I believe Bond was in the Bahamas or Bermuda. Might have been Haiti. Speaking of Fat Tuesday & Lent, My birthday on Feb. 18th 1953 was Ash Wednesday and my Dad being the joker I grew up to know him as kiddingly tried to name me Ashley.....thank God my Mother intervened!!!
