Topic: Ames, IA show

I attended my 1st Joe show last nite. I have Bonamassized. Cy Stevens is an awesome place to hear a master at work. My son took me to show, the simplicity of the show was incredible. I could not believe the presentation of so many guitar's and cool light show. I agree the acoustic set stole the show. His presentation and endurance of each instrument was awesome. My son plays acoustic in 2 bands and was amazed at his talent. His voice was clear and not even a break to moisten! wow! The black box was cool - something different I had never heard of. The idiot yelling was a couple rows behind us sucked...stay home next time moron. Great show, smile  smile  Joe and crew....I will see you again...thanks!

Re: Ames, IA show

What black box are you speaking of?

Re: Ames, IA show

I would venture to say the Theremin

"Music Washes Away From The Soul, The Dust Of Everyday Life"

Theremin that's right!

Re: Ames, IA show

beach boys did it, led zeppelin did it.... just a cool gimmick.
I have one and once I can start working it into songs, I'll be doing it too.

Like you, people remember that sort of stuff.  cool
I think it's unconventional.

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

I think the coolest thing I heard Jimmy Page say in the movie It might Get Loud, "Yeah its not a Guitar, but its a whole lot of fun" speaking about his Thermin.
