Topic: blues junior question

hi guys, i have a small pub to play in a couple of weeks and wondered whether you gigging users of this amp could give me some tips on how to get the best sound out of it for classic rock. Also i use about eight pedals and as there is no effects loop where should i put the delay.cheers

Re: blues junior question

Last year I gigged with this amp a few times and a cheap Delta Lab digital delay pedal.  What I found was that if I put it too early like before a distortion or boost pedal it would really effect the volume too much and it acted just like a boost pedal.  I more or less decided the best place to put it was after the phase 90 I had which made that pedal last next to my tuner pedal.  Some people like their effects to color the delay first so you'll have to play with it to tell what you like better but I like my effects before the delay.

Re: blues junior question

Put the delay last in your effects chain.

I second that.  I have an analog and a digital and they are the last two in my chain.

Re: blues junior question

delay at the end it is then, thanks for your help.

Re: blues junior question

Also, for classic rock I put the Master at 12 and use the Volume for sound level. It gives you the ballsiest clean. If you wanted something more hard rock you'd do the opposite (vol at 12 and master set to desired vol.)
