Topic: Joes's Fuzz Face sounds.

Hi all,

I've never come across a Fuzz face pedal in a store or played one to hear what it sounds like.  I've only seen a video of Joe demonstrating his latest rig where he plays a little bit on it.  Can anyone point me in the direction of one of his songs or solos where he has used that pedal so I can hear how it sounds?  He mentions on the video that his prototype is a very noisy pedal, anyone know if Dunlop have fixed that or if fuzz pedals are noisy in general?

The video of his gear is here if anyone hasn't seen this one:

Thanks

Joe Bonamassa:

Hey Guys,
Here is the scoop, there will be plenty around in about a week or so... The first batch of 250 are being made right now.. I just received my first one via Jeorge Tripps in the box yesterday.  It looks great honestly.. I am very proud.  Now just so I can say I warned you.. A fuzzface is not a mellow subtle overdrive.  Its a massive explosion of compression and fuzz.  So if you want to hear the Sloe Gin Solo tone come out of it.. It wont do that.  A great example of me using it in the studio is the end solo of Too Late for the Sun on the Black Country Communion record or at the Dazed and Confused bits on the Live at the Royal Albert Hall.  Thanks I hope you really enjoy them!!!  Im so proud of my Fuzz-pennies..

Noisy in general.

Fuzz pedals generate fuzz... i.e. all kinds of noise. Can't wait to try mine.

Re: Joes's Fuzz Face sounds.

I played a red fuzz face (possibly the Dallas Arbiter) yesterday and really liked the sound.  First time I had played a fuzz.  Anyone know how different the Bonamassa one is compared to the red one?  I'm in a pedal nightmare at the moment, I tried the Providence SOV-2 as well and that is an amazing pedal aswell.  Different type of overdrive but same kind of price.
