Topic: Goldtop Touch Up Paint

I just purchased a Epiphone JB guitar and came with a small mark by the tone pot. Does anyone know where I can find some touch up and the best way to do it. It doesn't have to match perfect, just something close.

Thanks

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

Gibson used to offer touch up pens but I think they've been discontinued and that would probably have been nitrocellulose lacquer and the finish on the Epi is more than likely a polyurethane. You could try Reranch @ www.reranch.com but again it's probably nitro and last I checked goldtop was out of stock.

Something I've done in the past is to go to a hobby store and look at the selection of paints for model making...see if you can find a close match.

Lately, I've come to accept that there are two types of guitars...those with play wear and those that are going to get play wear.  smile  So you could look at it as the aging process has already been started for you.  big_smile
