Here is the set list as well as the guitars used in the show in Albuquerque on 2/23 which is probably the same as the Vegas show.
Cradle Rock (Bonaburst LP)
So Many Roads
When The Fire Hits The Sea
So It's like That (Signatute JB Goldtop)
Slow Train (new guitar, can't remember the name. les paul body, single pickup, firebird headstock)
Dustbowl (gibson les paul with bigsby tailpiece)
You Better Watch Yourself
Steel Your Heart Away
Sloe Gin
John Henry (candy apple blue signature JB LP)
Lonesome Road Blues (Red Gibson 335)
Happier Times
Blue & Evil (gibson firebird)
Great Flood (JB LP goldtop)
Young Mans Blues (White SG double neck. first time I've seen this one)
Woke Up Dreaming (Alvarez Yairi Acoustic)
Django/Mountain Time (Music Man)
Encore:
Bird on a Wire (Giglioti)
Just Got Paid, Dazed and Confused, Just Got Paid (Flying V)
One more week until Davenport! I'm getting excited!

NO it is not the same if you just cut and pasted from the Anaheim show. I have not heard form anyone that Blue & Evil is truly being played. I can sit corrected easier than I can stand corrected. I don't believe this is being played at all anywhere until someone chimes in with proof ( verbal, written, audio, audio / video, doctor's note, parental permission, etc.) attesting to same actually being played. If you are 100% sure, speak up.

I'm with you Rocket. I noticed that Blue and Evil was still being included in set lists being touted as the same as San Diego, but didn't want to rock the boat again.

Well I'm only trying to get the truth, not rock the boat or make anyone other than myself look bad! It IS a chock full setlist and a long show. But I think my son would've commented (maybe accused) on a Led Zeppelinesque tinge to the song he had never yet heard...

I know for a fact that he played blue and evil at Anaheim. I wrote down every song as he was playing it.
I just went back to my set list from the anaheim show and counted 21 songs. I also distinctly remember Joe mentioning at the San Diego M&G that he had a 20 song show that night.
so.. He either took the song out after the first night or I'm hearing songs that ain't being played.
It was played at the first show only and has not been played since.

Thank you Roadshow101 for that confirmation.
Isn't it a bit amusing how the setlist was posted for the first show and ever since most think or assume that it is still being played. Me included, until the day after I saw him in San Diego and was listening to Black Rock. Wait a minute here, Blue and Evil was missing.
Now I kinda wonder why it was taken out. Set list a bit too long and that song drew the short straw? I know Tal is the new guy on the block getting into the Bonamassa groove, but I wouldn't think that song to be any more difficult than any other song and he is a proffesional who could rise up to the challenge. So...now my mind is got a new mystery to be solved.
Maybe Joe just didn't feel it would fit in the rest of the set? Or technical issues with particular guitar/amps used for it? ... just randomly grabbing at straws here.
Someone will just have to ask Joe at one of the M&G's!
Sorry for the misprint. I didnt think he did Blue and Evil in Abq but my wife thought he did. I really didnt want to bother writing the set list during the show so I consulted the Anaheim list and modified it a bit.
Otherwise Im confident on the others.
My bad!

No worries. Just some of us were wondering about mental health status' is all!
I'd guess deletion was a tightness issue due to newness of integration of Tal Bergman and no need to deal with it when the other songs in the set can open up a little more...I love the song, but it would seem unfair to have it short or not up to snuff yet.

It most definitely was played at the Anaheim show and most definitely was not in San Diego.
As to why?
Well Joe has stated his very strong dislike of the song.
Something to the effect that everyone seems to go crazy over it but I don't like it and don't have to. Knowing this, it would make sense that it would be the first one deleted.
