Good post Curby. I received my copy of the CD too and it is a great album. As Curby mentions it's a more diverse album than Recorded. The title track with Joe is a great heavy introduction. There's plenty of great blues guitar on tracks like Longer Days and Come On My Love. In The Memory of Our Love has already been mentioned, a sublime modern blues ballad. What's my name might see it get a parent's advisory label though. Like Curby I'd thought of John Mayer when I heard Gentlemen, and Henrik pulls it off well with his superb sence of melody and vocal range, while I've Got It Good is a swinging jazz number, I kid you not! There's so much that will appeal to existing fans of Henrik here and yet so much more too. And your right Andre, Henrik's singing is better than 90% of native English language singers, and his songwriting is so far ahead off many too. There's no fan of Joe who would not like this album, so get the pre-orders in now! smile

I look forward to finally seeing him at his first UK show at Maryport on 29th July and the tour in September.

After listening to the songs for a couple days I'm in agreement with Greenose about Henrik exploring genres outside his comfort zone.  "I've Got It Good" is an exceptional jazz song, "Longer Days" is way more funky than another blues number and "Do Did Done" has the rock thing going.  The only song on the album that doesn't work for me is the f-bomb peppered "What's My Name".

Yes it's a good line up so far, it would be nice to meet you there Andre. Joe Louis Walker has just been added to the bill, Hokie Joint, who are very entertaining, and I believe Johnny Lang is due to play there too.

Curby, I agree, that's the one song I don't really like either, it just seems a little repetitive, but still a 9/10 album.
