Topic: JB Fuzz Face Update?
Any new news on the JB Fuzz Face? How limited are these going to be? Any tone reports? I really like the MXR M173 BC108! Maybe get to hear it tonight in ABQ. Chris L aka Dragonsoni

What I would like to know is how does Joe power the ones he tours on his pedalboards? I had a Cornell First Fuzz which was also based on a Dallas Arbiter late 60s Germanium Fuzz Face but it wasn't designed to be fed off a power supply, internal battery only.
I'm in the US and pre-ordered with Sweetwater a few weeks back and as of today, item has not shipped... but i'm not expecting to see it for at least a couple more weeks, these things never seem to happen ahead of schedule....
Part of the fuzz thing is running off a battery my fulltone 69 has a power in but the manual recommends a battery :x
According to Dunlop, they should be available at the end of March and can be purchased through Joe website.
Can I pre order mine now? Please! Please! Please! Please! Please!

The reason for the battery recommendation for a Fulltone 69 (also the Soulbender) is the external power supply required needs to be positive pin. Too many people have used the wrong power supply and burn-out the unit. Fulltone does sell a "FPS-2" power supply wallwart that is the proper positive pin unit for those pedals. I have a couple Fulltone 69's, that I should sell considering the current street value as of late. However, and this is only my opinion, the best fuzz pedal I've found to date is a early mfg Diaz Texas Square Face. And those DON'T need a separate power supply.
Stay Safe y'all
