Re: Viva Las Vegas

A "Banner" occasion. Someone please post a picture of the balcony posse. The response from the crowd as we raised it and cheered just before Joe came on was so cool as camera flashes started up all over the hall and everyone started cheering. It looked like Joe peeked out from stage left and raised a fist in salute before the house lights went down and the show commenced. It was a very good show! I'll defer as well to one of the others for a report.
I lost a pound or two from the body wrap smuggling job.  lol It is Sixteen feet long and Eighteen inches high, grommets and sewed seams. Rocket named it and I followed up.
12 inch black block letters on a white background. BONAHOLICS UNANIMOUS smile

Who wants to hang it next? There was flat refusal from the house management when permission was asked, No one said a thing after the fact.  tongue It should chase Joe from show to show.

Re: Viva Las Vegas

Is that what everyone was taking pictures of on the balcony before the show? I was in a place where I couldn't get out there and see what half the crowd was taking pictures of, haha.

Just Got Paid was so epic it was ridiculous. I had to control my excitement for all the Jeff Beck riffs (hard to do when the person you go with has no idea what's being played, haha). Awesome stuff!

Re: Viva Las Vegas

Wow! what a great night. The show was incredible; Joe and the guys were fantastic. I am a happy guy.

I’M sorry that I didn’t get to spend more time with everyone here that made the trip to Vegas, but as some of you know I had to take my daughter to the sitter after the meet and greet. I was in scramble mode and really didn’t get to actually talk to Joe because I was focused on getting everything signed and getting out of there so that I could get back.  I wish Shannon could have stayed the seats that I received for the Litho couldn’t have been any better. I did get Joe three new fans. The friends that I brought to the show where amazed by Joe. It was great to meet everyone, once again I’M sorry I could spend more time getting to know everyone.

Take care,
Bill

I wish I could have brought a better camera.

Re: Viva Las Vegas

Having had the pleasure and privelage to see all three shows, I can attest with absolute cetainty that Vegas was the best sounding of the three shows.  while Joe, Carmine & Rick have had years to learn each other's timing, this was only Tal's third show and, while I think he was exceptional from the start in Anaheim, I think he improved with each show.  The guys had so much fun last night, it was a joy to watch.

I was sitting floor level on the right side of the stage and had the opportunity to watch Carmine at length last night.  I don't think he gets enough credit for the performance.  He's one hell of a bass player and at times plays as if he's really the rythem guitar section (which i guess, technically he is).  Anyway, i just thought I would give Carmine some much deserved credit.

Joe was epic last night.  The acoustic play got better each night and last night was longer and sounded better thatn the two previous nights.

Thinking about India/Django/Mountain time, I paid closer attention to the intro last night.  Joe plays a few notes of India, then transitions seemlessly into Django for the remainder of the intro (without the drum, i might add).  It was a subtle shift the first two nights, but I was looking for it last night and I freakin loved it.

So... a magical 3 show weekend has come to an end and I am satiated....for now.

I truly hope each and everyone of you guys who have the opportunity to see a show or two enjoy them as much as Susan and i did.

We met some great folks who, for the most part, i had only known via these posts and it was great to spend time with kindrid spirits.

Time to get back to the real world and begin to replenish my entertainment account so I can do this again when the opportunity arises.

Well. When Joe makes it back to Florida, please count me in.  If the banner gets kept, I can easily have one made.
Gladly will  display this support for Joe.  (:

Re: Viva Las Vegas

Well, bright and early this morning, first pm I get is, who else but PattyLuvsJoe. She has dibs on the next go round with the banner. Three shows in the midwest on the way east. Get ready to hoist that bad boy and yell your lungs out. If I had my way, it would head across the pond when the tour heads that way. I'd love a framed shot with a big gang holding the banner and Joe's band in front of the bus some day. Stand by friends, the Slow Train has a full head of steam and it's headed your way.  big_smile  big_smile  cool

Edit, Thanks to GTrovato, here is the gang just before heading in to the show. (all of me is one eye and my pick hat  roll )
