Justin & Tony Llama are probably two of the best known/respected brands

Re: Cowboy boot tips....

I love my Ariat boots. I have never had to break them in. They were comfortable the first day.

I used to barrel race and do western pleasure riding...I've worn a lot of boots  wink

Re: Cowboy boot tips....

I don't buy 'em new often 'cos they last so long!

But the last 3 pairs I've bought new are by Tony Mora. When buying new it was always from.....wait for it...... 'R. Soles' in the King's Road London.

More recently I found pairs nicely broken in second hand at the markets, specifically those in Camden for example. Even there I seek out Tony Mora's if I can. OK they are made in Spain, but they still stand the test of time if looked after. My oldest pair currently were purchased in 1998.

Re: Cowboy boot tips....

I have several pairs, and my Noconas are by far my favorite.  The Tony Lamas didn't blow me away.  Luccheses are nice if you can afford them.  I hope this helps!

Rick, Bless your Pea-Pick'n Heart...I do need to correct one tiny detail though...you race around 3 barrels making a "clover leaf" pattern.

I do have a pair of Justin boots made from Ostrich that have been beaten to hell and really can't wear anymore, but I can't give them up either!

FYI... My beloved Quarter Horse was named Blue Carbon and he died at 31 years old and we buried him in the pasture standing up and facing West. smile
