Topic: Picked up my Carol Ann OD2 100w EL34 yesterday

My name is Ron and I just picked up my new OD2 100w EL34. This amp is truly something to behold. The clean channel and OD channels blow my Marshall 410H away. This is the most articulate punching and responsive amp I have every tried. As it turns out, long story, I live in the same town as Alan and was able to see him gig test my amp at a club before I picked it up. It cut through the mix without an issue and was tame when needed. My hat's off to Alan. I first met him at the club and when I picked up the amp. He is a very nice guy who truly loves what he does. I was so overwhelmed by the tone of this amp I ordered a "Tucana 2" on the spot when I picked up the OD2. It is worth every penny. Well done Alan.

My house currently is upside down. I am having a studio built. Once compete I will post something. You can go to the carol ann web site. There are sound clips there that really give the dynamics of this amp. But nothing like in person.

Congratulations with your new amp!

I'm looking for a JTM45 (most likely a clone) or Carol Ann type of amp, and based on the clips I've heard, Carol Ann might be a winner. Have anyone heard the 50w and/or the OD2 100w with 6L6 tubes? What's the difference in sound? I've never heard a amp with 6L6's you see:-)

Things are still upside down. the construction phase of the studio will not be done until mid March. Then I am thinking a month to get all the stuff setup.
