Topic: fulltone supa-trem

Hey all-

I was setting up my pedalboard yesterday, and I just now got to use my supa-trem. I have both knobs set down as low as they will go, and there is a definite boost, but I dont get any trem, then when I hit the hard/soft switch it is overbearing... anyway to fix this? I'm just trying to add a subtle 3D tremelo effect.

Thanks,
Logan

I personally don't care for the "Hard" setting..too much for my ears.  I keep mine on soft and put the rate a little past half and just bring the volume up enough to where I can hear it but not too much.  Sometimes I leave it on for a while but it depends on the mood.  When my volume is down on the guitar, I can hear the wooshing sound through my amp and I find it annoying.  -S

Re: fulltone supa-trem

I understand what you're saying, but sometimes the song calls for a bit of trem ala Dust Bowl, to get that nice swampy sound. I really dig it, just having a bit of trouble figuring it out. Do you put it before or after your overdrive?

I have the Supa Trem in front of my amp AFTER my Overdrive.  It's the last thing in line before my Boss Tuner.  Guitar->Wah, Compressor, OD, Fuzz, Trem, Tuner AMP.  I know what you mean, sometimes the trem isn't quite loud enough for certain songs so it's a good thing the knobs on it are huge.  I just use my foot to bump up the Volume or Rate if need be.  Give that a shot.  -Seth

I will second helrazr84 and tell you I use the soft setting with rate knob at about 2:00 and the volume around 3:00.  I also have mine in front of the amp, not in the loop.  I used to run tuner>Supa-trem>FDII>MXR Phase 90>NS2 but I recently replaced my FDII so now the Supa-trem comes after the TS-9 and Fat-Boost.  Good luck, it's a great pedal

Re: fulltone supa-trem

Joe has mentioned that he runs his Supa Trem up front before his overdrives.  I've tried both and prefer my trem up front as well.  After OD the effect is much more subtle but if it is noisy for you then running it after OD would probably work better.  I think there is some internal trimmers that could probably help solve the problem you are having with your pedal.  Try contacting Fulltone to see if they have a solution to your problem.

Re: fulltone supa-trem

I will say if I run it into my amp and use my amp's distortion, I don't get that throbbing sound from my speakers when my guitar volume is down.  If I run it after my OD then I do get it but I don't leave it on so it's no big deal.  I was wondering if Joe went into it before his OD's because of where it usually sits on his board.  ..Speaking of which, it's time for an updated rig rundown..2011.  I'd like to hear and see more detail of his effects routing and sound samples with and without.  -S
