Topic: Joe - have you tried this Leslie simulator?

Being a big fan of the Korg G4 I just wondered if you've tried this:

I've tried a few pedals, trying to get that vintage guitar-into-leslie sound (think Nantucket Sleigh Ride or Badge) but the clips I've heard of this one seem to get it perfectly - I think it's the actual overdriving of the Leslie preamp that's the missing part in other pedals, which this one seems to nail.

The Strymon Lex looks like it is going to be a great Leslie sim.

That is a really sweet sounding box.  I am not big into digital pedals (which I think this one is?) but wow this can get the perfect Leslie tone

Listening to the demos it doesn't sound quite like the sound I want, which is that Nantucket Sleigh Ride/Badge tone. I've tried several univibe clones, and love my MojoVibe pedal, but it must be that overdriven Leslie preamp which gives it the chewy distortion tone - I can't get that by combining a vibe pedal with amp or pedal overdrive. The Neo is the only pedal I've heard to nail that tone in a soundclip/video - I know that clips aren't always accurate, but if it can sound great even in a lo res video demo I figure it should sound great in real life.

That is the best I've heard...but I wept at the price.

I agree - it's not cheap, but it is quite a bit cheaper than the Hughes & Kettner Rotosphere (Thomann have it on their site at £325 with the Rotosphere at just over £400). All I need to do now is sell a kidney!!!
