As postcard perfect as it was yesterday it's warmer today with a high of 80 plus in a few areas. I broke a sweat just running down to the garage to do laundry. Almost tempted to skip the 1st half of the game and hang out in the sunshine. Hang in there Jim, you'll be rolling in humidity before you know it. Tune in the Phoenix open before the game to feel warmer.

this winter is total nuts here, our coldest and snowiest in over a decade. We are now in line for another whopping 2-3" of snow tonight. No chains, no snow tires, everyone just has to stay home until it thaws. I'm freaking sick of it, and yet realize that our brethren to the north, UK, and Europe have had it much worse. it's still downright bizarre. Well, off to the grocery store to fight for the last of the milk and a loaf of bread. and a pork butt so I can do RickB's crockpot recipe. wink

  You call that snow?  I can still see the vehicles!  We've had 60+" so far this winter - normal for the whole winter is around 40".  Counting the days until spring (although around here one of the biggest snowfalls ever happened on April Fool's day - go figure.)

I thought I had a lot of snow where I live, but I'm working in Westfield MA this week, and they have about twice as much here. The snow banks are so high along the highways it is making turns out from side roads very hazardous. I hope this stuff starts melting soon!

Well, true, it's not that much by Wisconsin standards. After all, the average depth in my driveway was only 2 feet. However, my dear, lovable dog Goldie found it quite challenging to find a suitable place in the yard to do her job; we ended up shoveling a path out for her. Even though the yard depth is a lot more, she still finds joy in chasing a toy that I throw; she looks like a bunny rabbit hopping from snow drift to snow drift to retrieve it. I'll bet Mr. Meerkat couldn't do it! tongue wink

I guess our playful harangue has come back in spades. The weather man has predicted the coldest weather in decades here in San Diego starting tomorrow. Snow flurries possible in the city with real snow in the hills down to 2500 feet.  yikes  yikes  sad Got to go cover the citrus and tropical plants tomorrow. So much for global warming! Seems more like an ice age coming on.  hmm

A most excellent suggestion. The man says bundle up. All cold is relative but for San Diego, the chance to not break 50 for a day is an all time low record. It will drop below freezing overnight for sure. We'll see if it is all hype or not, the cold is supposed to hit Saturday now. No central heat in the house!  roll
